About the name
"XPESRX" stands for 'Christ is King'. It
was thought of (as far as we know) by the Pastor of a local
church. He had it as a license plate number on the back of his
daughter's car. The founder remembered it when contemplating
whether to continue in music and thanked the Lord for allowing him
to stay in the Music Business.
1. XP

The symbol of an "x" superimposed over a
"p" which is an R in Greek is considered the monogram of
the name of Christ, formed of the two first letters of that title
in Greek, X and P is the celebrated sign which appeared in the sky
at noon-day to the Emperor Constantine and his troops, and was
afterwards adopted by him on his standard as a Christian symbol of
blessing and a reminder that God is in control. It is called the
"Chi-Rho". History tells us that Constantine saw this
symbol along with the Greek words, TOUTO NIKA, which are rendered
in Latin as "In hoc signo vinces" and which means
"in this sign though shalt conquer".

This is the Greek name for " Christ ".
It may be written using the Roman alphabet (top) or the Greek
alphabet (bottom).
Therefore XP is representative for " Christ"
2. Es is spanish for " is "
3. Rex is Latin for " King "
XPICTOC es rex
XPESRX = Christ Is King
The name symbolizes that we have submitted our lives to Jesus
Christ as our Lord and King. That God comes first in our lives
over our own will and desires. That God is in control and is
sovereign over the company.
In the original logo, shown above, the white cross symbolizes
Christ's purity when sentenced to death and the state of our sin
after his sacrifice. The red used in the text symbolizes the blood
that Yeshua (Jesus) shed in order to make our sin white as snow
and bring us into union with God.

Our History
Open Hearted Music Recording Company (ohm
Records) was originated in 1986. The former company had been known
as a local label for up and coming artist in the southern
Atlanta-Metro areas. The founder was 15 yrs old when he had the
vision of Open Hearted Music. Then just a trademark symbol that he
put on his music (notebooks, and everywhere else!) The symbol and
the name later became his publishing company. The name was
conceived out of the lyrics of a 'Rush' song (whom he heavily
listened to at the time). The lyrics were "all this machinery
making modern music, can still be open hearted" He adopted
the anthem of Art as Expression; Not as Market Campaigns out of
another of their tunes. Then, after being rejected as a name for
his publishing company by BMI, he decided to release records under
the name instead.
In later years, he purchased a four track
recorder and began recording his own songs as well as other's.
Chantelar Studios was born. OHM Records had a partner. Music
recorded at Chantelar was released on Ohm. Mostly demo tapes and
the local artists' recordings at other studios around the Atlanta
area. The founder went to college at Music Business Institute and
learned how to operate a recording studio and began upgrading
Chantelar (a constant chore).
In 1995, while in desolation and despair, running
out of money and independence, feeling the back hand of society
and the industry, Jesus Christ called to him. Once saved, the man
put everything on hold...all of the albums, his writing, recording
sessions, everything; Not knowing if it was the will of God for
him to continue in music or to start into something else. Then, by
the grace of God, he was shown a need in the Contemporary
Christian Music Industry and XPESRX Records was dubbed a new
label.
In 2009, after internal discussions, XPESRX
Records changed it's name to Spiritual Graffiti Records. As cool as XPESRX is
to look at and to discuss, it was not very fun for the artists
when telling folks what label they were on or constantly trying to
stop folks from trying to pronounce it when they saw the name on
posters, albums, etc.

secular nature and is written by the artists' as lost people.
